Saturday brought a change in momentum as Graceland dominated the Hannibal-LaGrange Trojans in a 3-0 sweep (25-16, 25-22, 25-18). The Yellowjackets then pushed the St. Francis Fighting Saints to the brink in a thrilling five-set match, ultimately falling 3-2 (25-23, 25-18, 19-25, 16-25, 14-15).

Head Coach Stew McDole expressed optimism despite the challenging weekend: "I think this is quite possibly the best 1-7 NAIA team in the midwest. We have tools, are high energy and exciting to watch. If we continue to play with the focus, toughness and resiliency that we showed this weekend, I'm confident the wins will follow."

The Yellowjackets will look to build on their promising performances as they continue their season Tuesday night in Lamoni with a non-conference tilt against Central College (IA). The match is slated to begin at 7:30pm at the Morden Center.
