ABOUT GRACELAND ATHLETICS

Graceland University has been the home of Yellowjacket Athletics since 1895 and now boasts 20 varsity and nine junior varsity sports.

The Yellowjackets are members of the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) which includes 13 schools in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska while also under the national governing body of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Heart was founed in 1971 and Graceland is one of three schools which have been member since the inception. GU has an enrollment of approximately 1000 students at the Lamoni campus, two-thirds of which are student-athletes.
