Women’s Volleyball Defeated by No. 19 Central Methodist

Lamoni, Iowa - The Graceland University women's volleyball team took on the No. 19 Central Methodist University Eagles. The Yellowjacket were defeated by the Vikings, 3-0. Graceland moves to 5-15 on the season and 2-10 in conference.

Set 1: Graceland 19 | Central Methodist 25
The Yellowjacket would pull the first lead of 8-3, key points from Arissa Carpenter and the serve by Allison Long. Both teams would stay neck-and-neck. The Eagles would get some ground, take a three-point lead, and hold a lead to take the set.

Set 2: Graceland 10 | Central Methodist 25
Both teams would enter the second set battling; Graceland would get a 7-4 lead with points from Ella Thomas (two kills), Brenna Crabtree (three kills) and an ace from Sierra Kauweloa. The Eagles would have a turning point serve to take the lead and the set.

Set 3: Graceland 14 | Central Methodist 25
The Eagles would pull the early advantage; the Yellowjackets would close their deficit to one point with Ali Gillen's kill and Hailey Kauweloa's ace (7-6). Late in the set, Graceland would find a groove for a three-point jump, key points from an Arissa carpenter kill and blocks by Ali Gillen and Kaylee Baker. Central Methodist would snatch the last three points for the victory.
