Women’s Soccer Adds Second Home Game Victory

Lamoni, Iowa - The Graceland University Women's Soccer went up against the Stephens (Mo.) College Stars. The Yellowjackets defeated the Stars 5-2 and moved to 2-2 on the season.

The Scoring
The Yellowjackets would start the game on the board with a Rita Chana footed goal from Sofia Pietra Martins. Chana would then add an assist to the Pietra Martins's goal. At the 19:00-minute mark, the Yellowjackets would extend their lead to three with an Emily Carmen goal from Florencia Campodonic pass.

The Stars would get on the board after being held scoreless for the first half (46:40-minute mark). Carmen would foot in her second goal of the match moments later (48:29-minute mark). Graceland would add their final goal of the game with Samantha Garcia finding the back of the net from Mayra Gutierrez. The Stars would add their second goal to end the score of the game.
