Yellowjackets Comeback to Tie at Home Opener.

Lamoni, Ia. – The Graceland University women's soccer team ties against the Waldorf University Viking Warriors 3-3 in this afternoon's match-up. The Yellowjackets took the field at their own John Rasmussen Soccer Complex for the first time this season. Graceland is now 0-0-1 on the season.

The Scoring
The only first-half goal was kicked in by Waldorf's Iveth Guzman, assisted by Sydney Boyd (0-1).

Mila Maciel, assisted by Daniela Benavides, produced the first goal of the second half and gave the Viking Warriors a lead of 2-0. A solo goal from Waldorf's Amber Williams increased the lead to 3-0 at the 71:24 minute mark. Less than a minute later, the Yellowjackets answered with a header by Emily Carmen, assisted by Celeste Robledo. Sophia Lopez added an unassisted goal to the Yellowjacket's comeback with less than 17 minutes on the clock. With 80:00 on the clock, a penalty kick by Celeste Robledo resulted in a goal for Graceland. (3-3).

A break away by Celeste Robledo caused a penalty kick, to tie the match (3-3) with 10 minutes remaining in the game.
