Graceland University Women's Golf Competes at Baker Invite

Lawrence, KS – The Graceland University women's golf team competed at the Baker Invite this past weekend, facing strong competition in a highly competitive NAIA field. The tournament, held at a challenging course, provided an opportunity for the Yellowjackets to continue their season's development.

Leading the way for Graceland was freshman Rylee Zimmerman, who finished tied for 24th with a two-round total of 185 (92-93). Zimmerman showed resilience throughout the tournament, demonstrating strong course management and consistency in key stretches of play.

Cydney Stables also competed for Graceland, finishing in 31st place with a total score of 218 (109-109). Stables battled through difficult course conditions and remained committed to the team's development as they look ahead to their next tournament.

Graceland head coach Kevin Brunner recognized the team's effort and emphasized the learning experiences gained from this event.

"The women played well for their first outing of the year. Rylee Zimmerman led the way for the Jackets, shooting two solid rounds in the 90s. Cydney Stables showed consistency on the course and is eager to build on her performance in the next outing," Brunner said.

The Yellowjackets will next compete in the Graceland Invitational, hosted at Mozingo Lake Golf and Country Club on March 28-29 in Maryville, Missouri. The home tournament will be an important opportunity for the team to showcase their progress in front of their home supporters.
