
Graceland Women’s Basketball Falls to MNU in Season Finale
OLATHE, Kan. – The Graceland University women's basketball team closed out its 2024-25 season with a 79-44 loss to MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU) on Thursday afternoon at Bell Family Arena. The Yellowjackets finished the season with a record of 8-20 overall and 6-18 in Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) play, while MNU remained undefeated in conference action at 26-2 overall and 24-0 in the Heart.
The Pioneers controlled the game from the outset, opening with a 19-3 first-quarter lead, limiting Graceland to 8.3% shooting (1-of-12) in the period. The Yellowjackets responded in the second quarter with their most efficient offensive stretch, shooting 60.0% (6-of-10) from the field, but MNU maintained control and took a 38-18 lead into halftime.
MNU continued to dominate in the second half, shooting 70.0% in the third quarter while extending its lead. The Pioneers were efficient in the paint, outscoring Graceland 53-21 inside and finishing with a 53.8% (28-of-52) field goal percentage.
