Women’s Basketball Held by Benedictine

Atchison, Kan. - The Graceland University Women's Basketball team took on the Benedictine College Ravens. The Yellowjackets were defeated by the Ravens, 81-57. Moving to 9-12 on the season and 7-10 in the Heart

Graceland (9-12; 7-10) | Benedictine (15-6; 13-4)
Quarter 1: Graceland 11 | Benedictine 13
Graceland would open with an Avery Walker-Henry, drained a three-pointer, and Trinity Greenwood would follow. The Ravens would answer to put five points up, and Janiyah Davis would halt their collection from the deep (8-7). Benedictine would sink a late three to lead (13-10). Greenwood would drain a charity stripe to close the gap to two points at the end of the first quarter (13-11).

Quarter 2: Graceland 10 | Benedictine 22
Park would start with a six-point collection; Trinity Greenwood would halt the run with a layup (19-13). Bryanna Griffiths would put up eight points in the second quarter. The Ravens would extend their lead to 16 points heading into the half (37-21).

Quarter 3: Graceland 10 | Benedictine 20
Benedictine would break the two-and-a-half-minute deadlock with a free throw. Graceland would drain baskets from Janiyah Davis, Alana Swift, Vegas Camacho and Trinity Greenwood. The Ravens would hold their lead heading into the final quarter with a score of 57-31.,

Quarter 4: Graceland 26 | Benedictine 26
Bryanna Griffiths would open the fourth quarter with back-to-back three-pointers. Trinity Greenwood and Camry Dillie would follow to add a collective 11-point jump (59-42). The Ravens would push five-point collections, and a Sophia Rodrigues three would break the run (64-45). Graceland would drain six three pointers in the fourth quarter. Benedictine would hold their lead for an 81-57 victory.
