Bio

Coach Courtney is heading into his 10th season as Head Coach after eight seasons as an assistant for the Yellowjacket men's soccer program. Courtney also served in the role of Assistant Sports Information Director.

Bryan came to Graceland as a freshman in 1994 after graduating from Truman High School in Independence, Missouri. His impact as a player for the Yellowjackets was rapidly felt as he collected several Heart player of week awards en route to an all-conference selection.

Throughout his playing career Bryan was twice selected as captain of the team and earned several more all-conference awards. In 1997, Bryan finally led the Yellowjackets to their first ever men's soccer conference championship.

In 1998 Bryan graduated with a degree in Psychology and began his career in social work as a Youth Specialist for the Missouri Division of Youth Services where he worked for 7 years.

In 2006, after spending a year in Adelaide, South Australia volunteering for the World Service Corps, Bryan along with his wife, Kacey (GU alum '04) returned to Graceland University. Upon returning to Graceland, Bryan completed another degree in Secondary Education.

Kacey is currently a Residence Hall Director for the Department of Residence Life. Bryan and Kacey have two daughters Ava and Lilah and one son, Allister.
