Men’s Basketball Caged Peru State

Peru Neb. - The Graceland University RV Men's Basketball team took on the Peru State College Bobcats. The Yellowjackets defeated the Bobcats, 61-52. Graceland move to 12-1 and are 9-0 in the conference.

Half 1: Graceland 24 | Peru State 20
The Bobcats would get on the board first and create a five-point advantage. The Yellowjackets would have baskets from Austin Braun, JY Smith, Aleksa Markovic, Akeen Woods in the first ten minutes of play. A layup by Woods would push Graceland to a six-point collection; Darrius Davis would add four points to take the lead (16-14). Markovic would sink one from the line to lead by one, and Braun would drain a three to add a four-point lead. Graceland would lead by four heading into the half, 24-20.

Half 2: Graceland 37 | Peru State 32
Austin Braun would drain a jumper to start the second half, and Darrius Davis would follow with his own layup. Aleksa Markovic would add five points from the line and the deep moments later (33-20). Peru would work to close their deficit to eight points; Carson Busch would add back the ten-point lead from a layup (37-27). The Bobcats would add a five-point run to close their gap to four points (47-43); Busch broke the run with a layup. Patrick Fisher, Braun and Markovic would follow from the line (54-43). The Yellowjackets would hold their lead to take the 61-52 victory.
