Men’s Basketball Caged RV Central Methodist

Lamoni, Iowa - The Graceland University Men's Basketball team took on the Central Methodist University Eagles. The Yellowjackets defeated the Eagles, 89-75. Graceland move to 9-1 and are 6-0 in the conference.

The Eagles would push themselves ahead, taking an early 19-11 lead. A Patrick Fisher three-pointer would break the run and start a Yellowjackets collection, baskets from Carson Busch and Amitai Afenjar (19-18). Both teams would trade baskets and even the score. Graceland would even the score from a Austin Braun  layup and take the lead with a Carter Brown layup and three-pointers (29-24). Busch would sink one from the deep to take a two-point lead from the Eagles even score (34-32). Akeen Woods would add to the lead from a layup. Braun would close the first half from the deep, putting Graceland ahead by nine points (47-38).

Half 2: Graceland 42 | Central Methodist 37
Both teams would open the half competitively to trade points. The Yellowjackets would work a seven-point collection started by the Amitai Afenjar three-pointer, baskets from Carson Busch and Aleksa Markovic (61-46). Darrius Davis would put a 12-point lead on the board with a layup (72-60). Busch would break a two-minute stalemate, sinking one from the deep (80-65). Graceland would have a last-minute run from the baskets by Markovic and Woods. The Yellowjacket would defect the Eagles by 14 points for an 89-75 victory.
