Lamoni, IA – Graceland University wide receiver Gerald Monroe, a senior from Glenn Heights, Texas, has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference (North) Offensive Player of the Year following a record-breaking season that solidified his position as one of the premier players in NAIA football. Monroe led the nation in every major receiving category, capping a standout career with one of the greatest individual performances in program history.
Monroe's extraordinary 2024 campaign included 84 receptions, 1,562 receiving yards, and 22 touchdowns, leading the NAIA in each statistic. Averaging 156.2 receiving yards per game and 18.6 yards per catch, Monroe was the cornerstone of Graceland's offense, which powered the team to a 7-4 overall record and a 5-1 mark in conference play.
