Baseball Stopped by Peru State

Peru, Neb. – The Graceland University Baseball team took on the Peru State College Bobcats in a four-game series. The Yellowjackets were defeated by the Bobcats in game one, 11-1. In game two, the Yellowjacket fell to the Bobcats in game two 9-1.

The Scoring – Game 1
T2 – Singles from Bryan Paez, Austin Wheeler and JD Woodruff would put Paez in scoring position on third base. A Peru wild pitch would bring Paez home (GU: 1 |PSC: 0)
B2 – The Bobcats would add five runs from a Yellowjacket error, a sacrifice fly and a single (GU: 1 |PSC: 5)
B4 – A Sacrifice fly would add one Peru run (GU: 1 |PSC: 6)
B5 – The Bobcats would cap their scoring adding five runs; from three singles (GU: 1 |PSC: 11)

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Zach Tanabe started for the Yellowjackets going 4.0 innings and facing 21 batters. Izaac Rabelo would set to the mound next for 1.0 innings, and Jacob Popovich would close the game in 1.0 innings.
The Yellowjackets had six hits, led by six Yellowjackets.

Game 2 Individual Leaders
Elio Narvaez started for the Yellowjackets and 2.2 innings, facing 18 batters and had three strikeouts. Mason Krogsgaard would step in for 0.1 innings, seeing three batters. Rafael Severino would step to the mound 3.0, facing ten batters and one strikeout.
