Baseball Ends Series Even to the Valor

Lamoni, Iowa – The Graceland University Baseball team took on the Evangel University Valor in a four-game series. The Yellowjackets defeated by the Valor in game one, 5-4. In game two, the Yellowjacket fell to the Valor in game two 7-6

The Scoring – Game 3
T3 – The Valor would add two runs from a single through the left side and a fielder's choice to third base (GU:0 | EU: 2)
T5 – Two Evangel runs would score from a single to left field and a single through the left side (GU:0 | EU: 4)
B5 – The Yellowjackets would add four runs from a Valor wild pitch; Austin Wheeler would score after drilling a triple to center field. Javin Stevenson would cross the plate from a wild pitch. Darwin Marquez was pushed home from a Zach Tanabe ground-out hit to second base. Jacob Lopez would single to center field to bring in Keith Whitaker (GU:4 | EU: 4)
B6 – The Yellowjackets would cap their score with a JD Woodruff single down the right field line; Austin Wheeler would score (GU:4 | EU: 4)

Game 3 Individual Leaders
Felix Lopez would get the start for the Yellowjackets and 4.2 innings, facing 24 batters and having three strikeouts. Izaac Rabelo (W, 3-3) would step in next and see 1.1 innings, facing four batters, striking out two, and allowing no hits and no runs. Stephen Eskridge (Sv, 6) closed the game in the last inning, facing five batters, allowing no runs on one hit and having one strikeout.

B4 – Three runs would cross the plate. Zach Tanabe singled to left field to bring in Darwin Marquez. Tanabe would score on a Bryan Paez triple to center field. Paez would cross home plate on a Kamaehu Sanchez double to left field (GU:5 | EU: 6)
B5Keith Whitaker reached first on a Valor error, and Kato Dougan scored on the play (GU:6 | EU: 6)
T7 – Evangel would cap their scoring with a single to right field to score one (GU:6 | EU: 7)

Game 4 Individual Leaders
Roger Camacho (L, 3-5) started for the Yellowjackets and 3.2 innings, facing 23 batters and had six strikeouts. Jorge Diaz stepped to the mound for 1.1 innings and allowed no runs on two hits and a strikeout. Mason Krogsgaard entered the game for 1.2 innings. Stephen Eskridge closed the game for 0.1 innings, faced one batter and sat them down.
