Bio

Reece Carmichael has been an assistant athletic trainer at Graceland University since 2020. He currently serves as the main athletic trainer for Rodeo & Baseball but has also spent extensive time with Football & both Men's and Women's Volleyball.

Before arriving at Graceland, Reece worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of West Alabama from 2018-20. During his time there, he gained experience working with Men's Soccer, Rodeo, Men's & Women’s Tennis, & in a general orthopedics clinic. Reece has also volunteered his time providing sports medicine coverage for rodeos at both the college and professional level, high school football games, as well as for a city-wide recreational tennis tournament.

Carmichael earned his Master of Science in Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training from the University of West Alabama. His bachelor’s degree is in Athletic Training and was awarded in 2018 from Central Methodist University. As an honors student, Reece was inducted into Sigma Epsilon Pi honor society for the top 10% of graduates. Reece also played one season on the Central Methodist baseball team where he played as an infielder. He also was active in Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, intermural sports, and the Athletic Training Student Organization of which he served as Vice President for one year.

Reece is from Canton, MO where he attended Canton R-V high school and played baseball and soccer. Carrmichael currently resides in Lamoni, IA with his wife, Alex, and their two dogs. Reece is an avid outdoorsmen with a love for bass fishing and also enjoys hunting, golfing, and boating. Reece is also an active member at Living Hope Church.
