Bio

Erin Lundy has been an athletic trainer at Graceland University since 2007. In 2015, she was named the Head Athletic Trainer.

Lundy currently serves as the main athletic trainer for football and men’s volleyball and works as a clinical instructor at the University (ACI). For 10 years, she worked as a course instructor at the University as well, teaching various sport medicine classes. Lundy has also been the first aid coordinator for the Special Olympics events held on campus since 2009.

Before arriving at Graceland, Lundy worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of South Carolina from 2004-06. Throughout her time, she gained experience working with campus recreation, women’s tennis team, men’s basketball, football, and cheerleading. Erin helped to launch the campus recreation sports medicine program. She also spent time with Allen University, the USC Sports Medicine Clinic, the Columbia City Blowfish and Columbia City Ballet, working a NBA exhibition game (Spurs vs. 76ers), among other various activities..

Lundy earned her Masters of Science in Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training from the University of South Carolina. Her bachelor’s degree was from Graceland University in 2004 were she double-majored in Athletic Training and Physical Education and Health. As an honors student, she also holds a minor in secondary education and coaching.

While at Graceland, Lundy played on the softball team as an outfielder and catcher. She picked up valuable knowledge in the Athletic Training room working with multiple sports as an athletic training student and served as the President of the Student Athletic Trainers Association for two years. As a head student Athletic Trainer, she spent time with women’s volleyball, baseball, women’s basketball and men’s basketball.

Lundy is from Tracy, Iowa. She attended Twin Cedars Community Schools (Bussey, IA) where she played softball and volleyball. Currently, Erin resides in Lamoni, IA with her mini dachshund, Deedz. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outdoors.
