Women's Volleyball Concludes Season Against Bobcats

Lamoni, Iowa - The Graceland University women's volleyball team would host the Peru State College Bobcats. The Yellowjackets were taken down by the Bobcats, 3-1. Graceland finished their season at 9-18 and 5-13 in conference.

Graceland (9-18; 5-13) vs. Peru State (3-22; 4-13)
Set 1: Graceland 18 | Peru State 25
Both teams would trade points, neither taking the edge. The Bobcats would snag the first rally 6-1 (11-7); the rally would be broken up by a Brenna Crabtree kill. Graceland would close their deficit to two points with points by Crabtree and a Sera Tofi ace. Points from Arissa Carpenter, Ali Gillen, and Kaylee Baker would keep the Yellowjackets hot on the Bobcats. Peru State would capture a three-point jump to take the set.

Set 2: Graceland 18 | Peru State 25
The Bobcats would take an early 5-2 lead. Graceland would work to take the lead by one, 8-7, with points from Brenna Crabtree, Ali Gillen, Allison Long (ace and a kill), and Hailey Kauweloa (ace). Peru would answer to retake their lead and create a two-point lead (14-12); moments later, they would add to their score, 19-15. The Bobcats would have a final 5-11 run to take set two.

Set 3: Graceland 25 | Peru State 23
The Bobcats would position themselves in the lead, 15-11. A set-turning kill from Ali Gillen would push the Yellowjackets for a three-point jump (15-14). Moments later, Marlis Aviles would start a five-point jump under the service of Shelby Jabour; kills from Brenna Crabtree (two kills) would contribute. The Bobcats would even the score 23-23. The set would end with kills by Arissa Carpenter and Kayla Watanabe.

Set 4: Graceland 27 | Peru State 29
Both Teams would stay competitive, trading a slight lead. Graceland would snag the first significant lead, started from the kill by Ali Gillen and under the service of Hailey Kauweloa (19-12), blocks from Ali Gillen (block) and three aces by Hailey Kauweloa. The Yellowjackets would get to set point first, and the Bobcats would work a 10-2 run to tie. Peru would snag the final points to take the match.
