Women’s Volleyball Stop by Vikings on Senior Day

Lamoni, Iowa - The Graceland University women's volleyball team would host the Grand View University Vikings. The Yellowjackets were taken down by the Vikings, 3-0. Graceland moves to 9-17 on the season and remain 5-12 in conference.

Set 1: Graceland 18 | Grand View 25
The Vikings would get on board first and take an early lead, 12-5. The Yellowjackets would close the gap to three points (14-11); points from Allison Long (kill) and Brenna Crabtree (block). Grand View would respond with a three-point jump, and the Yellowjackets would follow suit with their own four-point rally (17-15), key points from Arissa Crabtree (two-kill) and Kaylee Baker (one-kill). The Vikings turned around to snatch the remaining points for set one.

Set 2: Graceland 20 | Grand View 25
Graceland would take the first points of the second set (4-1). The Vikings would retaliate with a seven-point jump to take the lead (10-5). The Yellowjackets would close their deficit to one point with critical points from Arissa Carpenter (one-kill and a block assist) and Ali Gillen (block assist). A kill would push the Vikings to a five-point lead and to set point. The set would be prolonged by a Gillen kill and blocks by Allison Long and Kayla Watanabe. Grand View would take the second set.

Set 3: Graceland 12 | Grand View 25
Grand View would continue their offensive push to pull a 14-8 lead. Graceland would have points made by Allison Long, Arissa Carpenter, and Kaylee Baker. Grand View would take the remaining eight points for the victory.
