Women’s Volleyball Stopped by Baker

Baldwin City, Kan. - The Graceland University women's volleyball team took on the Baker University Wildcats. The Yellowjacket were defeated by the Wildcats, 3-0. Graceland moves to 5-13 on the season and 2-8 in conference.

Graceland (5-13, 2-8) vs. Baker (8-11, 3-6)
Set 1: Graceland 22 | Baker 25
Graceland would land a 4-0 lead with key points from Allison Long, Brenna Crabtree and Addison Demesko. The Wildcats would trail working to close their deficit. Both teams would trade points and the lead. The Yellowjacket would tie the score 22-22, and the Wildcats snatch the remaining three points.

Set 2: Graceland 16 | Baker 25
The Wildcats would lead, with the Yellowjackets working to close the gap. An Ali Gillen kill would tie the score 7-7. Baker would push a 9-1 rally; a kill from Brenna Crabtree and Ella Thomas would break it up. Baker would hold their advantage to take the second set.

Set 3: Graceland 26 | Baker 28
Both teams would trade points, and the lead, and Baker would add a five-point lead mid-set. Triple kills from Brenna Crabtree would aid in closing the deficit to two points (14-12). The Yellowjackets would reach set points first (24-20), and the Wildcats would grab a five-point jump (25-24). Back-to-back Baker aces would end the set.
