Women's Volleyball Concludes Season Against Bobcats.

Peru, Neb. - The Graceland University women's volleyball team went up against the Peru State (Neb.) Bobcats. The Yellowjackets were taken down by Bobcats 1-3, and finish their season at 8-24 on the season and 3-17 in conference.

 

Graceland (8-23, 3-16) vs. Peru State (7-22, 4-15)

Set 1: Graceland 25| Peru State 16

The Bobcats were quick to a lead at 2-7. The Yellowjackets would rattle a 6-1 run to tie the score. The Yellowjackets would continue to grow their lead over the Bobcats and solidify their victory with a kill from Allison Long. Graceland would hit a .214, with 11 kills on 28 attempts, compared to Peru States -.108 hitting.

 

Set 2: Graceland 30| Peru State 32

Both teams came out on fire, neither allowing for a sizable lead. The Bobcats would reach 20 points first with a six-point run (16-20); The Yellowjackets would tie the score eight times but Peru State would end the set with a kill.

 

Set 3: Graceland 21| Peru State 25

Graceland would be the first to 10 points, leading by three. The Bobcats would produce five points to take the advantage. The Yellowjackets would close the deficit to one point, but the Bobcats would extend their lead with a four-point run. Peru would keep their lead and take the third set.

 

Set 4: Graceland 15| Peru State 25

The Bobcats would get the first sizable lead with an eight-point increase (9-16). The Yellowjackets would work to close the gap, but back-to-back kills from Peru's Kim Krise would end the set.
