Women's Volleyball Swept by Vikings
Des Moines, Iowa - The Graceland University women's volleyball team went up against the Grand View (Iowa) Viking. The Yellowjackets were defeated 0-3, now 8-22 on the season and 3-15 in conference.
Graceland (8-22; 3-15) vs. Grand View (14-16, 12-6)
Set 1: Graceland 14 | Grand View 25
The Yellowjackets rushed out early to a 6-2 lead. The Vikings retaliated to give them the advantage of three (6-9). Graceland would work to take back the lead, but Grand View set in their groove to rattle off 12 of the last 13 points to take the set.
Set 2: Graceland 23 | Grand View 25
Both teams would come out with the same dynamic; Grand View would create a sizable lead of seven (11-19). A service error gave the Yellowjackets the room to shrink their deficit to three. Late in the set, a kill by Arissa Carpenter produced a four-point score run to come within one. The Vikings would end the set with a kill.
Set 3: Graceland 13 | Grand View 25
The Vikings came out in the third set and took the early lead (4-10). The Yellowjackets would come within seven points (11-18), answering with a 5-point run to secure the lead and the set. The Vikings would hit .700 on 20 attempts and 14 kills.
