Women's Volleyball Defeated by Mustangs.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa - The Graceland University women's volleyball team took on the Mount Mercy (Iowa) Mustangs. The Yellowjackets were defeated 0-3, now 8-17 on the season and 3-11 in conference.

 

Graceland (8-17, 3-11) vs. Mount Mercy (17-7, 10-6)

Set 1: Graceland 25 | Mount Mercy 27

The Mustangs were the first to create a sizable lead with a 7-point run (4-9). The Yellowjackets would fight to close the gap and tie late in the set with a Rakenzy Pryor kill (21-21). This would lead to four ties and five lead shifts. The Mustangs would take the last two points with an ace and a kill.

Set 2: Graceland 22 | Mount Mercy 25

Graceland would continue their high attacks incurring a 6-4 lead early, and remained a four-point lead. The Mustangs retaliated late in the set, adding eight straight points for set point (20-24). The Yellowjackets would put up two to close the gap, but the Mustangs would find the last point.

Set 3: Graceland 21 | Mount Mercy 25

Both teams would fight to take the lead, keeping the score neck in neck. The Mustangs would find the first advantage, with six (10-15). Mount Mercy would push their lead to six and remain in the lead for the rest of the set.
