Women's Volleyball Swept by Vikings
Marshall, Mo. - The Graceland University women's volleyball team took on the Missouri Valley (Mo.) Vikings and were defeated 0-3. The Yellowjackets are now 7-15 on the season and 2-9 in conference.
Graceland (7-14; 2-8) vs. Vikings (13-14, 7-4)
Set 1: Graceland 26 | Vikings 28
The Vikings got the early lead; the Yellowjackets worked from behind, closing their deficit. A four-point scoring run pushed the Viking's lead to four (11-16). Graceland retaliated with their own 4-1 run to tie the set 23-23 with a block from Kaylee Baker; and Rakenzy Pryor. A service ace from Missouri Valley ended the set.
Set 2: Graceland 16 | Vikings 25
Graceland came pout on firing rushing to an early 5-2 lead, but the tide would change as the Vikings produced a 6-point jump. The would take the lead, and snatch the seven of the remaining eight points for the set.
Set 3: Graceland 19 | Eagles 25
In their groove, the Vikings pulled a head (2-9) early in the set. The Yellowjackets would fight and, with a kill by Allison Long and from the serving of Megan Janok would come back from a 10-point deficit. The Vikings would hold their lead and take the third set.
