Women's Volleyball Sweeps Bobcats
Lamoni, Iowa. - The Graceland University women's volleyball team defeated the Peru State (Neb.) Bobcats, they now move to 6-11 on the season and 1-5 in conference.
Graceland (7-12; 2-6) vs. Bobcats (5-12, 2-5)
Set 1: Graceland 25 | Bobcats 21
The Yellowjackets raced out to gain the first lead (6-4). The Bobcats were able to gab and trade it (12-12). Graceland pulled out a five-point scoring run, adding to their advantage. They ended the set with a service ace by Addison Demesko.
Set 2: Graceland 15 | Bobcats 25
Both teams fought point for point. The Bobcats were able to create a lead (9-12), but the Yellowjackets retaliated with an eight-point scoring run led by Arissa Carpenter, earning five service aces and taking the set.
Set 3: Graceland 20 | Bobcats 25
Peru State rushed to an early advantage of 6-3; the Yellowjackets followed their lead, putting down six. The Bobcats had the advantage heading into the set's final five points. A kill from Sierra Kauweloa gave the Yellowjackets the last two points they needed.
