Women's Volleyball Drops Match to Ravens.

Atchison, Kan. -  The Graceland University women's volleyball team Traveled to take on the Benedictine (Kan.) Ravens. The Yellowjackets were took down by the Ravens, 1-3, they now move to 6-12 on the season and 1-6 in conference.

Graceland (6-12; 1-6) vs. Ravens (11-5; 5-3)

Set 1: Graceland 26 | Ravens 24

Both teams came out the gate on fire, not giving room for a sizable lead. A service ace from Izzie Smith gave the Yellowjackets the edge to work in a four-point run. The Ravens retaliated with their own five-point scoring run to take the lead. A kill from Rakenzy Pryor and an error gave Graceland the last two points for the set.

Set 2: Graceland 16 | Ravens 25

In the set, Graceland worked from behind early on; Ravens stanched the lead. The Yellowjackets closed their deficit to one point (12-13), but the Ravens turned around for a five-point run to grow their lead. Benedictine had a hitting percentage of .317 compared to Graceland's .097 to tie the match.

Set 3: Graceland 19 | Ravens 25

Graceland took the first points of the set. The Ravens tied it at 6-6 and took the lead. The Yellowjackets got within one point, but the Ravens did not slow to take the set.

Set 4: Graceland 15 | Ravens 25

Continuing their battle, early in the set, both teams traded the lead. Graceland worked from Behind to shift the game (10-11). The Ravens followed with six points to pull ahead, which gave them the edge to lead through the remaining plays of the set.
