Women's Volleyball Falls to Vikings
Lamoni, Iowa. - The Graceland University women's volleyball team, played host to the Grand View (Iowa) Vikings and were 3-1, they now move to 6-11 on the season and 1-5 in conference.
Graceland (6-11; 1-5) vs. Vikings (4-9; 3-2)
Set 1: Graceland 25 | Vikings 21
With a 5-point scoring run the Yellowjackets were able to come back from their disadvantage (7-6). Both teams fought to pull ahead. An attack error from the Vikings gave Graceland the space to grab the last seven points and the set.
Set 2: Graceland 15 | Vikings 25
The Vikings came out hot to pull ahead fast (7-1). The Yellowjackets worked to close the gap getting within one point (10-9). The Vikings retaliated and never looked back, taking the second set.
Set 3: Graceland 20 | Vikings 25
Grand View took the first points of the third set. Graceland tied the set at 9-9, a kill from the Vikings, gave them the edge to lead through the remaining plays of the set.
Set 4: Graceland 15 | Vikings 25
Continuing their play, the Vikings pulled ahead gaining a lead of 12 points. Graceland found their groove late in the set, shrinking their deficit to nine, but that was as close as they would get.
