Women’s Volleyball Take Home Conference Win Over Pride.
Lamoni, Iowa. - The Graceland University women's volleyball team, played host to the Clarke (Iowa) Pride. The Yellowjackets defeated the Pride, 3-1, they now move to 6-10 on the season and 1-4 in conference.
Graceland (6-10; 1-4) vs. Pride (3-10; 0-6)
Set 1: Graceland 17 | Mustang 25
The Pride rushed to an early 8-3 lead. The Yellowjackets work to close the gap. Graceland worked their deficit to 18-15. Clarke was able to snatch eight of the last ten points and took the set.
Set 2: Graceland 25 | Pride 18
Clarke continued their plat, creating a seven-point lead. The Yellowjackets served out a 9-1 scoring run to close the gap. Both teams staying competitive, Graceland changed the game's flow with a kill from Allison Long to take the set.
Set 3: Graceland 25 | Pride 17
Both teams opened up the third set competitive, trading point for point. Graceland worked pulling ahead, claiming the last three points on the Allison Long serve.
Set 4: Graceland 25 | Pride 22
Clarke came out to put points up; first, Graceland continued to one-up the Pride. Clarke tied the score at 18-18, and Graceland put up a three-point scoring run to put the advantage on and never looked back.
