Women's Volleyball Defeated by Mustangs.
Lamoni, Iowa. - The Graceland University women's volleyball team, played host to the Mount Mercy (Iowa) Mustang. The Yellowjackets fell to the Mustang, 3-0, they now move to 5-10 on the season and 0-4 in conference.
Graceland (5-10; 0-4) vs. Mustang (10-3; 3-2)
Set 1: Graceland 21 | Mustang 25
Mount Mercy came out to put points on the board, taking a 7-5 lead; Graceland answered with their six-point run, rushing out to 11-7. Both teams stayed competitive, trying to take the lead. Graceland led 21-17, and Mount Mercy came back to claim the last eight of nine points, taking set one.
Set 2: Graceland 10 | Mustang 25
The Mustangs came out strong, pulling a lead 12-3. Graceland started to retaliate with their run but was cut short by a Mount Mercy kill. The Mustangs grabbed nine of the last 11 points to take the set.
Set 3: Graceland 14 | Mustang 25
The Mustangs continued their play, taking the early advantage (9-4). Graceland worked to close the gap to two (9-7). Mustangs turned around, putting down four points, and never looked back, claiming the set and the match.
