The Yellowjackets Bit By Bulldogs

Lamoni, Iowa – The Graceland University women's soccer team hosted the Concordia (Neb.) Bulldogs on this afternoon on Rasmussen Field. The Yellowjackets were defeated by the Bulldogs 5-2 and are now 1-2-1 on the season.

The Scoring

The Bulldogs quickly found the net, putting up the first goal in the first five minutes of play with an unassisted goal by Aliyah Aldama. They continued their aggressive play; Kierstynn Garner found Elena Ruiz for another Concordia goal (0-2). The Yellowjackets fought back, and Hannah Waldera pushed her way to the net to close the gap (1-2). Late in half, Graceland tied the match with a Hannah Marshall goal assisted by Ishbel Wilson. Concordia added another goal putting the advantage on late in the half. 

Both teams came out aggressive to get the edge. In the last ten minutes of play, the Bulldogs took the victory finding the back of the net twice (2-5)
