Yellowjackets fall to Warriors

Fremont, Neb. – The Graceland University women's soccer team traveled to take on the Midland (Neb.) Warriors. The Yellowjackets were defeated 5-1 by the Warriors, and they are now 0-1-1 on the season.

The Scoring

Midland got on the board first with a goal by Bailey Locano from Savannah Vaughn at the 30-minute mark. With just under nine minutes left in the first half, the Warriors extended their lead with a header by Dana Gomez, assisted by Brittany Llanes (2-0).

In e second half,  a corner kick from the Warrior's Arianna Flores created the opportunity for the third goal headed in by Melany Davis. Just under three minutes later, Melany Davis. Found the back of the next for the second time, assisted by Brittany Llanes. Kiera Holland of Midland scored in the 78th minute from the pass by Melany Davis. Late in the second half, Graceland's Rachael Armit found the back of the net for the game's final goal.
