Women’s Basketball Halted by Clarke

Lamoni, Iowa - The Graceland University Women's Basketball team took on the Clarke University Pride. The Yellowjackets were defeated by the Pride, 91-72. Moving to 3-5 on the season and 1-3 in the Heart

Graceland (3-5; 1-3) | Clarke (7-0; 4-0)
Quarter 1: Graceland 13 | Clarke 28
The Pride would take an early lead 6-2. The Yellowjackets would even the score with a Heaven Mbaruk jumper. Clarke would answer with a 12-point jump (18-6). Graceland's Kymani Freeman would close the first quarter from the deep (28-13).

Quarter 2: Graceland 20 | Clarke 19
Heaven Mbaruk would open the second quarter sinking a jumper (28-15), and the Yellowjackets would follow later with a six-point jump, points from Camry Dillie and Avery Walker-Henry. The Pride would put up five points later in the quarter to leave by 13 points (44-31) and lead heading into halftime with a score of 47-33.

Quarter 3: Graceland 15 | Clarke 23
A jumper from Alana Swift would start the third quarter (47-35). Both teams would trade points. Clarke would find a six-point collection midway through the quarter (61-39). In the last 00:30 second of play Graceland would put up five points from a Kymani Freeman three and a Claudinae Hurt free throws.

Quarter 4: Graceland 24 | Clarke 21
Janiyah Davis would sink a three to kickstart the fourth quarter. The Pride would add a six-point collection to increase their lead to 22 points (61-39). Camry Dillie would break their run with made charity stripes. Graceland would add points from Melody Alo and Trinity Greenwood. Dillie would close the game with a layup, and Clarke would take the 91-72 victory.
