Softball Takes Game Two Victory on Senior Day

Lamoni, Iowa – The Graceland University Softball team took on the Missouri Valley College Vikings. The Yellowjackets were defeated by the Vikings in game one with a final score of 8-1 and took down the Vikings in game two, 11-3, in five innings.

The Scoring – Game 1
T1 – The Vikings would get on the board first, adding two runs from a single and a bases-loaded hit by pitch (GU: 0 | MVC: 2)
T2 – Missouri Valley would push one across the plate with a single to shortstop (GU: 0 | MVC: 3)
B2 – A Taylor Beane would drill a solo home run (GU: 1 | MVC: 3)
T3 – Vikings would add a two-run homerun (GU: 1 | MVC: 5)

B4 – Five Graceland runs would score. Ries Wilson would drive a line out to being in Vivian Tracy. Charlee Peters would score on a Viking error off the hit by Jayda Gay. Morina Goodman would steal home on the through down caused by the stolen base from Gay. Paige Cooper would drill a two-run home run; Gay scored (GU: 8 | MVC: 0)
T5 – The Vikings would get on the board and add three runs from a double to left field and a ground out (GU: 8 | MVC: 3)
B5 – The Yellowjackets would cap their score by adding three runs; Jayda Gay's bunt single would score Charlee Peters. Ries Wilson would score on a Paige Cooper double to right field. Taylor Beane drove Gay home on a walk-off single (GU: 11 | MVC: 3)
