Cauy Taff Won Region in Saddle Bronc at the Yellow Jacket Stampede

Spearfish – Yellowjacket Cauy Taff placed first in the Saddle Broc at the Yellow Jacket Stampede.

Graceland's Cauy Taff won the Saddle Bronc Riding with a score of 112 in the two-round event. Taff will be a sophomore this year at Graceland University. The Yellow Jacket Stampede was a three-day frame with multiple teams from around the United States traveling for the event. There was a delay due to a winter storm for this rodeo giving the Yellowjackets some more practice time.

"Cauy Taff had a good weekend at the Yellow Jacket Stampede in Spearfish, South Dakota. In the first round, he took second place with a 55 point ride. He won the second round with a 60 point ride. Cauy's combined score of 115 points secured him the Yellow Jacket Stampede Championship. The next weekend we traveled to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska. He had a little tough luck in the first round but came back in the second round and finished second with a 62 point ride. With all of Cauy's hard work and dedication this year, he earned the Title of Great Plains Saddle Bronc Riding Champion and a trip to the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper this June. I am very excited for Cauy to get the opportunity to represent Graceland University at the CNFR this year." Head Rodeo Coach Weston Pierschbacker
