Rodeo Competes in Lincoln at UNL Rodeo

LAMONI - The Graceland University Rodeo team competed in the UNL Rodeo this past weekend in Lincoln, Nebraska. The rodeo was a two-day event hosted by the University of Nebraska.

Grant Gansmer placed 4th in the average in the steer wrestling. Grant also won the short round performance with a time of 4.7 seconds.

Makenzie Evans also made the short round in the barrel racing where she was able to place sixth in a very tough field. Her equine partner Toughy, helped her complete this feat over 90 other competitors.

Up next, the rodeo team will travel to Ames, Iowa next weekend to compete in the Iowa State Cyclone Stampede. The rodeo will begin on Friday, April 30 and end the following day on May 1.
