Men’s Volleyball Held by William Penn

Oskaloosa, Iowa. – The Graceland University Men's Volleyball team took on the William Penn University Statesmen. The Yellowjackets defeated by the Statesmen, 3-0. End their season with an overall record of 5-19 and 3-14 in the Heart.

Set 1: Graceland 18 | William Penn 25
The Yellowjackets got on the board first to lead by 4-1; Thomas Weseloh (kill), Sam Johnson (kill) and Roy Rossello (kill) contributed. Graceland would continue to lead William Penn (9-5), points from Weseloh (kill), and blocks by Hansen Salausa-Kaawa and Isaac Elliott. The Statesmen would answer to even the score, 10-10. Both teams traded points. William Penn would push a run to lead by five (20-15). The Statesmen would hold their lead for set one.

Set 2: Graceland 13 | William Penn 25
The Statesmen pushed an early lead over the Yellowjackets (9-2). Graceland would see points from Thomas Weseloh (kills), Sam Johnson (kills), Sonny Tofi and blocks by Malakai Christian. The Yellowjacket would push a five-point run to close their deficit to eight points (20-12). William Penn held their lead for the second set.

Set 3: Graceland 17 | William Penn 25
Both teams came out to trade points. The Statesmen would grab the first lead, 18-13. Graceland would work to close the gap to four points (20-16). William Penn grabbed five of the remaining six points for the third set. Graceland would see kills from Sonny Tofi, Thomas Weseloh, and Malakai Christian and blocks from Christian and Isaac Elliott, Sam Johnson.
