Men’s Volleyball Stopped by Grand View

Lamoni, Iowa. – The Graceland University Men's Volleyball team took on the Grand View University Vikings. The Yellowjackets were defeated by the Vikings, 3-0. Moving to 4-18 on the season and are 2-13 in the Heart.

Set 1: Graceland 13 | Grand View 25
The Vikings would come out and push an 8-3 lead early; a Logan Book over resulted in a kill to break the rally. The Yellowjacket would see points from Sam Johnson (kills), Isaac Elliott (kills), Sonny Tofi (kills), and Andrew Cziep. Grand View would take set one.

Set 2: Graceland 10 | Grand View 25
Graceland saw kills from Malakai Christian, Thomas Weseloh, Sam Johnson, Isaac Elliott, and blocks from Hansen Salausa-Kaawa. The Vikings put together scoring rallies to take the second set.

Set 3: Graceland 24 | Grand View 26
The Vikings pushed a 4-2 lead, and a kill from Hansen Salausa-Kaawa would break the run. Both teams would trade points. Graceland would work an 11-9 with points from a block by Mana Kahoopii and Malakai Christian, a kill from Christian followed by a solo block by Christian. The Vikings would answer to even the score 11-11. The Yellowjackets would continue to push the offense and lead; a three-point rally would push the Yellowjackets to lead by three, 22-19; blocks by Kahoopii and Christian, Christian and Andrew Cziep, and kills from Isaac Elliott and Christian contributed. The Vikings would respond with a 6-1 rally to take the final set.
