Men’s Volleyball Stopped by Missouri Valley

Marshall, Mo. – The Graceland University Men's Volleyball team took the Missouri Valley College Vikings. The Yellowjackets were defeated by the Vikings, 3-0. Moving to 2-11 on the season and are 0-7 in the Heart.

Set 1: Graceland 15 | Missouri Valley 25
Graceland would stay even with Missouri Valley to start, kills from Andrew Cziep and Isaac Elliott (3-3). The Vikings would add a three-point jump; the run would be broken by a Malakai Christian kill. Missouri Valley would answer with six points (18-10). Hansen Salausa-Kaawa would kill to close their deficit to ten points. The Vikings would snatch the remaining point for the first set.

Set 2: Graceland 19 | Missouri Valley 25
Both teams would trade points: points from Hansen Salausa-Kaawa, Kalanikapu Aona, Malakai Christian, and Thomas Weseloh. The Vikings would find a four-point run to take the first advantage (15-10). Graceland would pull the deficit to two points from an Isaac Elliott ace (18-16). Missouri Valley would snatch six of the remaining eight points for the second set.

Set 3: Graceland 17 | Missouri Valley 25
Missouri Valley continued its offensive push to lead by 13-5 early. Graceland saw points from Thomas Weseloh, Andrew Cziep, Malakai Christian, and Sam Johnson. Missouri Valley held its lead to take the match.
