Men’s Volleyball Halted by the Vikings on Senior Night

Lamoni, Iowa – The Graceland University Men's Volleyball went up against Missouri Valley College Vikings. and were defeated 3-1. The Yellowjackets finished the seasons 7-16 overall and 4-14 in conference play.

Graceland (7-16; 3-14) vs. Missouri Valley (14-10; 9-9)
Set 1: Graceland 25 | Missouri Valley 23
The Yellowjacket were the first to pull a 3-0 scoring run (3-2); a kill from Nicodemus Elliott and an ace of Kaden Goad contributed. Another 6-2 Yellowjackets run pulled an advantage of five points (15-10), an ace from Josh Santana, and kills from Rylon Raczka, Will Simmers, N. Elliott, and a block from Jeremiah Ta'amu. The Vikings would retaliate with their own 6-2 run to close the gap to one point (19-18). Graceland would snatch three points from the block from Raczka, Ta'amu, and Simmers late in the set. Raczka would close the set with a kill.
Set 2: Graceland 16 | Missouri Valley 25
The Vikings would start with a lead of three (1-3); Jeremiah Ta'amu would collect three points from a kill and back-to-back aces (6-4). The Viking would respond with an 8-2 run (7-12); a kill from Will Simmers and Nicodemus Elliott split the run. Missouri Valley would get to 20 points first. Graceland would work to close their deficit, but the Vikings held their lead.
Set 3: Graceland 18 | Missouri Valley 25
The Viking would pull an offensive stat creating an early 5-1 lead; a kill from Jeremiah Ta'amu broke the run. Missouri Valley would respond with a 10-2 collection to lead by 10 points. The Yellowjackets would retaliate with an 8-3 scoring run (16-21); Kills from Ta'amu and Rylon Raczka contribute. The Vikings snatch four of the remaining six points.
Set 4: Graceland 16 | Missouri Valley 25
The Vikings would climb to a 13-5 lead early. The Yellowjackets would pull five points jump, capitalizing on the Viking service error. A block and a kill from Jeremiah Ta'amu and a block from Malakai Christian (10-14). The Vikings would pull a 10-point lead over the Yellowjackets (11-21). Missouri Valley would snatch the last two points
