Men’s Volleyball Sunk by Pirates

Parkville, Mo. – The Graceland University Men's Volleyball went up against the Park University Pirates, and were defeated 3-0. The Yellowjackets move to 5-14 on the season and 2-12 in conference play.

Graceland (5-14; 2-12) vs. Park (20-0, 15-0)
Set 1: Graceland 12 | Park 25
Both teams traded points. Park found the first lead with a 5-0 scoring run (3-5). The Yellowjackets would work to close their deficit with a 4-0 run (9-12). The Pirates would find a 5-0 run (10-19); Isaac Elliott broke the run. The Pirates would snatch the last five points.
Set 2: Graceland 17 | Park 25
Both teams would work to take the lead. The Pirates would push a 5-2 run to lead by four (4-8). Park would find another 4-1 run (9-14); the run was split by a Nicodemus Elliott kill. Isaac Elliott would split the Pirates run (14-22), and they would take three of the remaining four points.
Set 3: Graceland 17 | Park 25
The Yellowjackets would pull the first lead, with kills from Malakai Christian and an ace by Nicodemus Elliott (3-1). The Pirates would retaliate with a four-point jump (4-6); Isaac Elliott would halt the run. A kill by Jackson Price would close their gap to one point (7-8). Park would create an advantage of five points (10-15); a kill by Rylon Raczka and an ace from Jeremiah Ta'amu would pull the gap to three points. Park would increase their lead and take the third set.
