Men’s Volleyball Defeated by Missouri Valley

Marshall, Mo. – The Graceland University Men's Volleyball were taken down by the Missouri Valley College Vikings, 1-3. The Yellowjackets move to 3-8 on the season and remain at 1-6 in conference play.

Graceland (3-8; 1-6) vs. Missouri Valley (6-7; 4-5)
Set 1: Graceland 16 | Missouri Valley 25
Both teams traded point for point. The Vikings would pull ahead by three; their run would be broken by the kill from Jeremiah Ta'amu (13-16). Missouri Valley would find a five-point jump and take the set.
Set 2: Graceland 20 | Missouri Valley 25
The Vikings would continue in their groove, pulling a seven-point lead (7-14). Kills from Nicodemous Elliott, Will Simmers, Jackson Price, and Jeremiah Ta'amu would add to the Graceland Points and contribute to the broken Missouri Valley collection. The Vikings would take the second set.
Set 3: Graceland 25 | Missouri Valley 18
The Yellowjackets came out to lead early; a run started by Isaac Elliott would push for a 7-1 scoring run (16-8); Sonny Tofi and service aces by Josh Santana would contribute. The Vikings would close their gap to five, but the Yellowjacket should hold their lead to take the third set.
Set 4: Graceland 21 | Missouri Valley 25
Both teams would trade points, neither giving a lead. The Vikings would take the first lead with a three-point jump; a kill from Will Simmers breaks the run. Graceland would close the gap to one (21-22). Missouri Valley would take the remaining points and the set.
