Men's Volleyball Halted by the Mustangs

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – The Graceland University Men's Volleyball was defeat by the Mount Mercy University Mustangs, 0-3. The Yellowjackets move to 0-5 on the season and are 0-4 in conference play.

Set 1: Graceland 14 | Mount Mercy 25
Both sides began swapping points in the competitive environment. The first sizable lead would come from the Mustangs, with a five-point jump (6-11). The Yellowjackets would work to defend and close their gap; kills from Jeremiah Ta'amu Perifanos and Nicodemus Elliott would break Mount Mercy's run. The Mustangs would hold their lead to take the set.
Set 2: Graceland 16 | Mount Mercy 25
The Mustangs took a 1-5 lead early. The Yellowjackets retaliated and closed the gap to four (14-18); kills from Rylon Raczka, Malakai Christian, Will Simmers, and Jeremiah Ta'amu Perifanos, along with assists from Sean Malaki, contributed. The Mustangs continued to chip away at the score and found set point first for the second set.
Set 3: Graceland 23 | Mount Mercy 25
The Yellowjackets came on fire and started with a 7-0 scoring run to take the lead by four (7-4). Graceland would find 15 points with a kill from Jeremiah Ta'amu Perifanos. The Mustangs would answer with their own 5-0 scoring run to take the lead by two. Both teams would go point for point. Mount Mercy would take the victory.
