Men's Volleyball Sunk by the No. 1 Vikings

Lamoni, Iowa – The Graceland University Men's Volleyball took on the No. 1 ranked Grand View (Iowa) University Vikings, 0-3. The Yellowjackets move to 0-3 on the season and are 0-2 in conference play.

Set 1: Graceland 18 | Grand View 25
The Vikings raced to the first lead of the set, taking seven of the first nine points (2-7). The Yellowjackets would work and find a 5-1 scoring run to bring their deficit to two (9-11); Jeremiah Ta'amu Perifanos and Will Simmers would add to the run with back-to-back blocks. Grand View would hold their lead, taking the first set.
Set 2: Graceland 15 | Grand View 25
The Yellowjackets would push to tie with a 3-0 run, started from the kill by Jeremiah Ta'amu Perifanos dished out by Logan Book. The Vikings would retaliate to produce a 5-0 run to create a six-point lead (9-15). Graceland would work to close the gap with kills from Malakai Christian and Isaac Elliott. The Vikings would hold and take the second set.
Set 3: Graceland 20 | Grand View 25
The Vikings opened the third set taking the lead 6-3. The Yellowjackets would push the offence taking the Vikings to a one-point lead from a Josh Santana's ace, and the kill by Jeremiah Ta'amu Perifanos dished out by Axel Rasquero (9-10). Grand View would answer back to increase their advantage to six with a 4-0 run. Graceland would close the gap to three, but the Vikings would hold onto their advantage and snatch the set point.
