Yellowjackets End Home Opener in a Tie.

Lamoni, Ia. – The Graceland University men's soccer team end against the Waldorf University Viking Warriors 3-3 in this afternoon's match-up. The Yellowjackets for the first time this season took to their home John Rasmussen Soccer Complex. Graceland is now 0-0-1 on the season.

The Scoring
Yellowjackets started the game on fire, with Nicolo Monacelli finding the back of the net within the first two minutes of play. Liam Frank assisted the goal. Abel Celemin Perez headed in the second goal for Graceland, off assists from Alonso Campos (05:37). The Viking Warriors got on the board off the kick-in by Antonio Coutinho at the 25-minute mark (2-1).

10-minutes into the second half, the Yellowjackets expanded the advantage over Waldorf with a goal by Cristobal Ponce, assisted by Raphael Salles (3-1). With 14 minutes remaining in the game, the Viking Warriors Daniel Burko scored off a header by a free kick from Harad Villegas (3-2). Antonio Coutinho, assisted by Harad Villegas, found the back on the net a second time with 36 seconds remaining to end the match in a tie.
