Braun, Markovic and Dickman Earn 2024 Heart Men’s Basketball All-Conference Honors
Overland Park, Kan. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its 2024 Heart All-Conference teams and postseason awards on Thursday.
The Heart head coaches selected a Heart First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention All-Conference team, as well as All-Defensive team.
Heart Men's Basketball All-Conference First Team
11 Austin Braun | Sr. | Guard |5-11 | Grand Rapids, Mich.
Braun ended the regular season with a total of 114 assists, averaging 15 points per game, and started in all 28 games. He made 116 of his 131 free throw attempts, ranking him fifth in the NAIA. Braun has an 88.5 FT Pct and is ranked first in the NAIA. He would surpass his career 1000 points.
Heart Men's Basketball All-Conference First Team
24 Aleksa Markovic | Sr. | Forward |6-6 | Podgorica, Montenegro
Markovic would start in all 28 games for the Yellowjackets. Averaging 14.3 points per game, hitting 400 points this season. He would have 17 blocks, 26 steals, and an average of 5.4 rebounds per game, with a total of 151 rebounds.
Heart Men's Basketball All-Conference Assistant Coach of the Year
Matt Dickman
Dickman entered his first season with the Yellowjackets. Coach Dickman and the Yellowjackets went 20-8 overall in the regular season and 17-7 in the Heart to earn the No. 3 seed in the 2024 Heart Men's Basketball Conference Tournament.
