Men’s Basketball Falls to MidAmerica
Lamoni, Iowa - The Graceland University RV Men's Basketball team took on the MidAmerica Nazarene University Pioneers. The Yellowjackets were stopped by the Pioneers, 95-81. Graceland move to 12-2 and are 9-1 in the conference.

Half 1: Graceland 29 | MidAmerica 53
The Pioneers would open the game from beyond the arches and pulled an early 13-0 lead. Aleksa Markovic would break the run with a layup. A Layup by Akeen Woods would push the Yellowjackets to an eight-point jump, and Markovic and Amitai Afenjar would hit three-pointers (18-9). MidAmerica would retaliate by putting up an 18-1 run; Afenjar would pause the run from the line. JY Smith would sink a jumper to break up the run. Late in the half, Woods (three points) and Markovic (six points) would sink baskets from the deep. The Pioneers would hold the Yellowjackets to a halftime score of 57-30.
Half 2: Graceland 51 | MidAmerica 42
MidAmerica would continue their fire, adding four points; a Carson Busch layup and free-throw would break the collection. Minutes later, Busch (five points) would sink a three and push the Yellowjackets to a 10-point jump; baskets from Akeen Woods (two points) and Patrick Fisher (three points) (59-40). The Pioneers would answer by adding six points (69-47); Amitai Afenjar would sink a layup to break the run. Graceland would work to close their deficit with a ten-point collection: baskets from Fisher, Austin Braun, Carter Brown, Aleksa Markovic and Darrius Davis. The Pioneers would hold the Yellowjackets at a distance and take the 95-81 victory.
