RV Men’s Basketball Conquered Mount Mercy
Cedar Rapids, Iowa - The Graceland University RV Men's Basketball team took on the Mount Mercy University Mustangs. The Yellowjackets defeated the Mustangs, 92-85. Graceland move to 10-1 and are 7-0 in the conference.

Half 1: Graceland 47 | Mount Mercy 39
Darrius Davis opened the game by draining a layup and would push the Yellowjackets to a 9-2 scoring run; baskets from Davis (four points), Aleksa Markovic (four points) and Akeen Woods (one point). The Mustangs would answer to close the deficit to two points (18-16). Patrick Fisher would sink a charity stripe to push a Yellowjacket collection of six (21-16); Amitai Afenjar and Carter Brown would contribute. Both teams would stay competitive and trade points. Davis would close the first half from the deep push the Yellowjackets to lead by seven, 47-39.
Half 2: Graceland 45 | Mount Mercy 46
Mount Mercy would open the second half with a six-point run to close the gap to two points. Darrius Davis would break the run with a layup. Moments later, the Mustangs would take the lead. Late in the half, Amitai Afenjar would start the collection from a layup and the line, followed by Carter Brown from the deep to retake the lead. Baskets by Afenjar, Aleksa Markovic, and Patrick Fisher would put points on the board to add to the advantage. The Yellowjackets would take a 92-85 victory.
