Men’s Basketball Takes Down Hastings
Lamoni, Iowa – The Graceland University Men's Basketball team took on the Hastings College Broncos. The YellowJackets defeated the Broncos, 70-59 and move to 3-1.

Half 1: Graceland 35 | Hastings 25
A three-pointer by Austin Braun and back-to-back threes by Aleksa Markovic would give Graceland the edge (17-12). The Broncos would respond with their own three and a layup to close the deficit to three points (17-14). Yellowjackets would work a late scoring jump to lead by nine points from Braun, Markovich, and Darrius Davis. With two minutes remaining, Carter Brown would add seven points to the board to push the Yellowjackets to lead by ten heading into the half time (35-25).
Half 2: Graceland 35 | Hastings 33
The Broncos would open the second half to close their deficit to two points; the run would be broken by a basket from the deep by Aleksa Markovic. Moments later, Hastings would even the score at 40-40. Graceland would put up six from Markovic, Carson Busch and Patrick Fisher (46-40). The Broncos would close the gap to four points, but a layup by Akeen Woods would continue the Graceland scoring collection. The Yellowjackets would continue to add to their lead; they would hold their largest lead of 14 points from a made free throw by Austin Braun. Graceland would take the 70-58 victory.
