2024 Flag Football Schedule Announced

Lamoni, Iowa – The Graceland Yellowjackets Flag Football team has announced their 2023-24 season.

The Yellowjackets will compete in their first season as a Flag Football as a sport at Graceland. Head coach Greg Criswell heads the team.

"I am excited to start our inaugural season here at GU. We currently have 15 young ladies on our roster. Three are receiving scholarship funding to participate, and the other 12 are non-scholarship walk-on players." said head coach Criswell. "I love the makeup of this team! What we lack in skill and experience, we make up in heart, effort and great work ethic. I am very proud of this team and look forward to building a successful program for years to come with them. No Limits!"

The Yellowjackets will start their season with a pair of scrimmages, first against Midland on February 21 at 4:00 pm at Huntsman Field. Followed by Saint Mary's on February 28 at 6:00 pm.

Graceland will officially open its season with a triangular Fort Scott CC hosted on March 6. They will take on Fort Scott CC at 1:00 pm, followed by Pratt CC at 4:00 pm.

The Yellowjackets will host their first game on April 3, taking on Saint Mary at 6:00 pm. A Triangular hosted by Hesston College will follow on April 7. Graceland will host Baker University on April 10 at 6:00 pm. The Yellowjackets will close their season at the Triangular hosted by Dubuque University.

"We are excited to see what Greg Criswell and the Flag Football team can accomplish in their first season. I've had the pleasure of watching the program grow, and I couldn't agree more with Coach Criswell's sentiments. I'm looking forward to watching these athletes perform," said Athletic Director Brady McKillip.
