Yellowjackets to Join Kcac In Women's Flag Football In 2023-24

WICHITA, Kan. — Graceland University (Iowa) will be joining the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) as an associate member in women's flag football, the conference office announced Monday. The team will begin play in the conference in the 2023-24 school year, which will be the inaugural year for the program.

The Yellowjackets will be the seventh school to participate in women's flag football in the KCAC, joining full member schools Bethel College, Kansas Wesleyan University, Ottawa University, and the University of Saint Mary, as well as fellow associate members Midland University and Cottey College.

"Graceland is honored and excited to be able to join the KCAC as a charter member for Flag Football," Brady McKillip, athletic director for Graceland University, remarked. "The KCAC has been on the forefront of Flag Football in the NAIA and we feel the KCAC provides the notoriety, respect, and leadership we are looking for as we start our program."

"We are excited to welcome the Graceland Women's Flag Football program into the conference to compete starting in 2023-24," stated Dr. Scott Crawford, KCAC Commissioner. "They have excellent facilities, an enthusiastic coach in Lara, and strong support from their administration. This is a great mix that will reap rewards in the Yellowjackets' recruiting and their overall preparation to compete next year."
