Bio

Donald Fusilier is entering his first season at the helm with the Graceland University football program as the Offensive Pass Game Coordinator/Wide Receivers Coach and will also serve as the team's Pro Liaison. Fusilier also brings over 10 years of coaching experience to the Yellowjacket staff, most recently as the Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach at Lafayette Renaissance Charter in Lafayette, LA. Fusilier brings Division 1 coaching experience along with multiple years of experience at the high school level with him to Lamoni. Fusilier became the Offensive Coordinator after spending a season as the Quarterbacks Coach at Beau Chene High School in Arnaudville, LA. Prior to this position, Coach Fusilier was the Director of Player Personnel at NCAA FCS Program, Southern University in 2021 where he oversaw Recruiting/Scouting. Fusilier also worked with the cornerbacks while at Southern University. Before going to Southern University, during the 2020 football season he was the Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach at St. Martinville where he aided in the development of two All-State receivers in Harvey Broussard (UL-Lafayette) and current 2024 3-star and (Arizona State) commit Cullen Charles. In 2019, Coach Fusilier was the Wide Receivers Coach at Comeaux High School where he coached 4-Star Under Armour All-America and current (LSU) receiver Malik Nabers.

 

Education:

Fusilier played for Victor Valley College in Victorville, CA where he was the team's leading receiver in 2009 with 36 receptions, 676 receiving yards and 7 touchdown receptions. He averaged 22.8 yards on kickoff returns and 9.2 yards on punt returns and was second on the team in scoring. He earned First-Team All-Conference selection with 1,042 All-Purpose yards. Coach Fusilier played for Coach Ross at Lindenwood University in 2010 before earning the opportunity to play professionally. His professional career included stops at the Wichita Wild (2011), Florida Tarpons (2012) where he led the UIFL in touchdowns with 35. (AFL) Cleveland Gladiators (2013-2014), and Colorado Ice (2014). After playing professionally, Fusilier transitioned into coaching and training. A native of New Iberia, Louisiana, Fusilier earned his bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Humanities from Nicholls State University in 2021.
